Fun With Statistics

Yesterday I heard two statistics from their respective proponents.

1. Every 60 seconds, someone switches to a Tempur-pedic matress.

2. Every 42 seconds, someone attempts suicide.

Does that mean that on average more people would rather try suicide than a Tempur-pedic matress?
